Wheeeeee!

Now that's the way to end a busy day!  I thought I'd take a bike ride after school today.  I'd leave around 4 & be back by 6 & still get some work done.  Well, as everyone knows, things don't always work out as planned... 

I didn't leave school til 6:30.  I figured I would go as far as the park (Juniper) & loop home.  Once there, I knew I could make it to the mall (Atlas) & back.  But it was such a nice,smooth ride to that point, I thought, "I'll ride at least to Queens Boulevard and turn around."  But, ya know, when I'm this close to the park (Flushing Meadows), I might as well make the loop there.  The hill up 69th was even relatively easy (in the right gear!) on the way back.

Learned a good lesson today: just ride!

Looking forward to when this little jaunt of 13.5 miles is what happens between breakfast & brunch on a daily basis.  Two months from now... wheeeee!
