To trail or not to trail...

I didn't expect to be able to do any biking this Memorial Day weekend, at least during my visit with my brother & his family, but circumstances created an opportunity.  So, my nephew pumped up the tires, dusted off the helmets, and he and I headed out to check out the "new" trails around Lake Charleston.  We were excited for the adventure and hoped to see some fun vistas.  Well, both of us were a little amazed at the steepness of the path. I backed off first; I didn't want to have to climb out of the ravine after a tumble.  My nephew, on the other hand, wanted to try it. After he made it to the next landing, he realized the extra challenge of making it back UP the hill.  We both decided that we had explored as much as we needed to.  (Maybe Dylan Kiefer could have given us a pointer or two.). We'll try another day with out the bikes. Looking forward to such adventures a month from now. 🙂
