12 days - and counting

As my brother-in-law pointed out... i have not been so good at keeping this blog current and, therefore, interesting to those of you wanting to follow along with me. Well, things are about to change!

I am finally down to "only a few days left" to get everything ready. And those few days are packed with work (finishing up the school year) and bike ride details.

But for those of you interested...

1) just returned from NC where I got to celebrate several graduations of several nieces and hang with family - fun!

2) took some laps around the Apex Community Park, enjoying a freedom that doesn't come with riding along with NYC traffic - fun!

3) took my bike in to the shop for new tires, chain, break pads and a general tune-up. Necessary! (but also fun)

4) finishing up the school year with NYState testing - not so much fun, but necessary and the proper ending to the school year

5) raining here today in NYC - not so much fun, but not much I can do about it

6) counting down the days before I head out! - FUN!

In the meantime, please pray...

1) for all new graduates as schools comes to a close for another year and students are making transitions

2) for those who maintain our city, state and national parks for our enjoyment

3) in thanksgiving for the mechanics who are rebuilding my bike and the safety it will bring

4) for the students, faculty & staff at Martin Luther School, as we conclude this school year and prepare for the next

5) in thanksgiving for the relief from the heat that comes with the rain

6) for me, as I sort through the details and finalize plans for my trip
