Day one 😳

I was awake at 4:30 this morning. I did fall back asleep until the alarm went of an hour later. But then I remembered, "today is the day"!

It is now 11:20pm. A few things have happened between then & now. Secured the house for a 6-week absence, finished packing (& re-packing), and friends & neighbors were there to see me off, pretty cool!

Because I had not practiced with a loaded bike, I decided to take a spin around the block first. After a quick change of tire (not me, Jason), we were off by 1:00. By 2:30 I was at the train station. Had to re-pack again to check some to baggage & bring the rest on board. My bike & the rest of me were on our way by 3:40.

And so it begins. I really have no idea what is in front of me. But so far, so good. Looking forward to my first visits with my sister & her family, a friend from grade school, & my girlfriends from high school. Check out the map page to see where that takes me.
