Second Leg

So, now that I've had a few days of biking under my belt, I have a better understanding of what is in store for the next 5 weeks. It is also easier to plan the next leg of the trip. (kind of)
This is what I have so far:
Mon, 7/10: Indianapolis to Quarry Lake Campground, Fillmore, IN š
Tues, 7/11: Fillmore to Terre Haute, IN. (Greg offered to drive the hour to come get me there, so I will overnight in Charleston, IL.) š
Wed & Thur: I get to visit with the Wittos for a few days. š
Fri, 7/14: Charleston to Pana, IL. (I'm still working out the details of where to spend the night. So, if anyone knows anyone in Pana that is willing to put me up for the night, let me know!)š“š¼āāļø
Sat, 7/15: Camping again, this time in New Douglas, IL āŗļø
Sun, 7/16: New Douglas straight into St. Louis, MO. There are bike trails that lead all the way there, passing the Gateway Arch along the way to my friends' house. Pretty cool! š¤
This is where it gets murky again. I'll spend a few days in St. Louis, then head toward Jacksonville, IL around mid-week. Depending on who is available and what the plan is, I'll spend some time "on the farm" with my family. From there, I think Springfield , IL is the closest Amtrak station that will get me by train up to Chicago.
Here is the condensed version of the rest of the trip:
-few days in Chicago with various parts of the family
-head north by bike to visit with a cousin along the way (I hope) and friends in Milwaukee, WI
-possibly a side trip back into MI, depending on the availability of friends & weather
-eventually take a train to Minneapolis/St. Paul, MN for a visit and some biking with a friend from HS
-from there, another Amtrak ride all the way to Spokane, WA. Plans are underway for a visit on the east side of that State, somehow meet up with my friends in the middle of the State to camp & bike our way back toward Seattle
Whew! š„š
Looking forward to it all. But right now, I better start packing. I've got to get back on the road again tomorrow!
