Day 18 - now I gotta pack again... : (

That's one of the things I didn't really think about: packing and unpacking every day. Although this last week, I've spent more days unpacked in a guest room than packed and on the road. It has been great to spend some time with my brother and family...played some tennis with my nephew today, talked shop with my brother, enjoyed some down time with them all. But, the next leg is calling (and so are those who are expecting me, literally!)

Tomorrow morning I head out with a "kick start" from Greg to get me past Mattoon. I FINALLY found some lodging in Pana, IL, a bed and breakfast on a lake. And then I head to Rustic Acres campground near New Douglas, IL on Saturday. Sunday's travels take me into St. Louis. I'll be on bike trails almost the whole way. I am truly looking forward to that (I hope it makes up for the promised 90+ degree days!)

In the meantime, I need to get going so I can pack and get some sleep. I'll need some energy to tackle those hills and long stretches of country roads in central Illinois. Thanks for your prayers, interest, texts and emails. It is helpful to know that others are supporting me (even those of you who think I'm crazy to do this).

Peace, Kathy
