Day 28 - What day is it?!

I think it is the end of Sunday but technically it is Monday, even past the hour of 1...
Another travel day. Saw more people at church I know: Fred & Judy, Caroline & some of the Haden crew, even a distant cousin & Mr. Wohlers, you know, like Wohlers Road! 😉
Lunch, some photo ops, a few games of Sequence...
(And that's when I fell asleep...Monday morning, now)
...a round of hugs & then Will & Madie drove me to the train station.
I chatted with the 18-year-old who had just left a scholarship dinner, was headed to Chicago to catch a plane to Utah for a 4-H robotics conference, had spent a week earlier in the summer at a camp in MI to learn some engineering skills...
Found Rick imediately on Clinton, outside of the train station & chatted with him at dinner (not HUB'S, Mark, but Giordonos! But a salad @ 10pm, not pizza. But it sure was tempting! I guess I'm in town for a few more days...😉)
Then we got "home" & I chatted more with both & continued with Karen til 12:30...I guess i have a few stories to tell from my travels so far (more than can fit on these pages).
One of the questions I am asked often through all of this is, "Is it what you expected?" Or, "What have you enjoyed the most?"
I didn't know what to expect...and, without a doubt, those late night conversations that last well past my bedtime, the random conversations with strangers, the reactions I get when people hear or see for the first time what I've done or am doing, listening to what is real in the lives of my friends, family & random strangers I meet.
Did you ever see the movie, You've Got Mail, the conversation when Tom Hanks works his way into Meg Ryan's apartment when she is sick...? He was trying to convince her that "it wasn't personal, it was business". I agree with Meg's response. "What ever it is, it's always personal!"
May your personal conversations be meaningful today. And may you recognize the opportunities to learn, teach, comfort, and love in the process!
