Day 30 - CUBS win!!

It was a full day and a fun day, at the ball park on a lovely summer day with blue sky, sharing it with loved ones, and the home team won, can't ask for much better than that!
We took the train in and out of the city. On the way home, I struck up a conversation with a Cub fan. He has been a Cub fan all his life, even though he's lived on the south side of Chicago his whole life. I learned he was in little league with Dave Dombrowski. He & his wife were in-between homes for these three weeks, just moving out of their home of 30 years and preparing to move into their retirement home. He learned I am a teacher in New York and I was traveling by bike to visit friends and family this summer. But mostly, we just talked about baseball.
15 minutes out of our lives; smiles, sighs and contented, knowing nods dominated those moments. Is it just me? Or would it be a good idea to try to use baseball to "bring this world together"...? ; )
